Chuncho Lodge is located at about 5 hours from Puerto Maldonado by river, for to go to our lodge we will have to use an outboard engine of 60 horse power, this means the use of 70 gallons of gasoline plus an extra special oil for to mix with the gasoline. The use of this amount of gasoline increase the rates of the tour packages and the time to reach our place is long. We are an eco-lodge an obviously want to do as much as is possible for to burn the less petrol, this is why we do it by car. Our car will use 5 gallons of petrol, the difference is a lot, the time is just 1.45 hours in a comfortable car 4x4 wheels, so you will reach our lodge is less time, much comfortable and will help to nature with the less use of fuel.
